Book description
Candombe or Carnaval fever is a description of the different steps of a group of tam tam players in a Carnaval procession in a small town.
Hundreds of citizens drop their activities to join them, to dance and celebrate for the whole time of the Carnaval. This book goes over a very important tradition in Montevideo, Uruguay where the Carnaval becomes the opportunity to affirm through their dance and music the national identity of the descendants of the Bantous slaves brought in centuries before by the Spanish. Blacks and whites painted in black will dance at the sound of the tam tam and celebrate.
