Knock Knock was founded in 2002 by Jen Bilik with the mission of creating interesting, smart, well-designed gift and stationery products. We seek to marry the verbal and the visual, the intelligent and the saleable, the funny and the practical, as seen in such product lines as Knock Knock Pads, Sticky Notes, Flashcards, kits, and books . . . the list goes on and on, and that's not to mention previous bestsellers that had their day but for which we are still known, like greeting cards, wrapping paper, Organizers, and Wheels o' Wisdom. Knock Knock's sensibility is proudly distinct, in contrast to the overwhelming homogenization and conservatism that characterize committee-created corporate products.
Knock Knock's nonfiction elements have been complimented and awarded as reliably as its humor and organizational aids. It's an idiosyncratic blend of characteristics, but one that has made Knock Knock unique in the marketplace. Knock Knock authors its own books, specialty and guided journals, and other content- and research-driven product, another one-of-a-kind characteristic of both its business model and its creative output.
A team of about twenty-five now (not including Maisie and Paco, our two dogs-in-chief), Knock Knock is based in idyllic Venice, California.
