6The finished Time Aloft. •
FlightPlan
Adjust the wings to have a flat T-shape,
as shown above, while holding the plane.
Throw the Time Aloft hard and high
into the air. This will enable it to soar very
far after stabilizing. When outside, you’ll
be chasing it—if you throw it from a
window or a rooftop, just say good-bye!
Make a second Time Aloft plane for
perfoming stunts, since the wings are
very sensitive to any curling of the paper.
Adjust the elevons for loops and rolls.

1 Begin with the Airplane Fold
(page 16). Fold down the top
point along the bottom edges
of the flaps.
2 Softly fold down the corners to
just above the bottom point (see
measurements), leaving an even
gap at the top edge. Do not crease
hard; this will give the wing a
rounded, leading-edge-airfoil
shape that increases its lift.
