Antigone, pious, headstrong, and reckless, breaks the law and defies her uncle, the king, in order to honor her slain brother.
The illustrations in this dramatic retelling of Sophocles' great tragedy are inspired by the classic pottery of ancient Athens. The book is hand-crafted and the screen printed on handmade paper.
The Getty Museum has acquired world English rights for this title and a French edition by Editions Milan will be coming out in the Fall.
This is the first title in a new collection by Tara which will include other key Greek plays (Oedipus, Elektra, Prometheus are future projects…).
